- 22th january 2017 - The mastering of the album will start shortly by Daniel Myer. Our first live gig will take place in Hamburg on 11th march 2017. More infos will be coming soon.
- 10th september 2016 - Today we finished the last recording session in the Himmelhell-studio in Leipzig for the second album. We are very proud of the result and now we can go to the refining and give the mastering in order. In addition, we have agreed on a possible artwork and album title. Here we will support again by Jenny Biermann. So be excited about the next few months and prepare yourselves for a real (hard-earned ) further step to "Warnemünde".

- 20th may 2016 - We have been working the last few days on the new album. It is already apparent now that the songs are fundamentally different from the last album. A publication will take place still this year!
- 13th march 2016 - The band is working on new material which will be released this year. Seven Songs are recorded. Four of the new songs will be played on the upcoming concerts.

Gimme Shelter: Das ist feinster moderner Electrosound, der eigene Wege geht und sich in keine Schublade pressen lässt. Auch live überzeugen die beiden Protagonisten Robert Grolms und Niko Kötzsch immer wieder und liefern eine Show mit einfühlsamen Texten, harten Beats und spektakulärer Videoinstallation. Ihr letztes Album „Kosmodrom“ war monatelang in den Top 10 der Poponaut-Verkaufscharts. Und auch ihr Vorabvideo „Keep Your Secret“ schaffte sogar den Sprung auf Platz 1 der Dark-Music-World-Charts.
Gimme Shelter stammt aus Deutschland und wurde von Robert Grolms und Niko Kötzsch ins Leben gerufen. Mehrere Konzerte, unter anderem beim legendären Wave-Gotik-Treffen (2010, 2014, 2017 sowie 2018) sowie als Vorgruppe der schwedischen Synthipopgruppen S.P.O.C.K. und Elegant Machinery, der Engländer Assemblage 23 oder der Electroband Neuroticfish, konnte die Band bislang bestreiten. Zuletzt spielte Gimme Shelter einige Konzerte als Support für Scheuber (Project Pitchfork).
Im zehnten Jahr ihres Bestehens liefert die Band nun endlich das langerwartete neue Album aus!
„Friedensfahrt“ wird abermals bei dem italienischen Plattenlabel Space Race Records als CD sowie als Download in allen gängigen Portalen veröffentlicht.
